China Energy Summit is a principal part of the entire event and it has been held for 4 consecutive years. Today, it has emerged into highly respected and influential platform for China's energy sector. The Fifth China Energy Summit 2009 will be held during 21-25 May 2009 in Beijing International Convention Center.

China Energy Summit and Oil Producing Countries CEO Summit (Oil & Natural Gas Summit), new addition this year, are jointly organized by Chinese National Committee for World Petroleum Council, the Organizing Committee of China Beijing International High-Tech Expo and Committee of China Energy Summit. This year summit will reflect the latest global and national trends and the energy landscape. Top international energy experts, mayors from major oil producing countries will be invited to convene with their counter part from China to discuss opportunities and challenges, to explore co-operation possibilities and business openings. Through this exchange, the meeting aims to enhance the Chinese oil producing cities' oil field development and the progress of the economic sectors related. Four major China's oil companies introduce their projects (mainly related to natural gas) under the renewed energy sector's structure. At the meantime, there will be a Russian delegation hosting a workshop to present their projects and procurement requirement.

Global and local leading oil companies will be invited to present their procurement requirements, providing oil equipment suppliers a tendering platform.

Other important energy topics will be discussed at Coal Summit, Electricity Summit, Energy Conservation Summit and Energy Innovation Summit to be held coincidently.
